Non-lethal crown damage is associated with reduced tree growth and lowered woody productivity in a temperate deciduous forest.

Manuscript in preparation.

This study examines how non-lethal crown damage is associated with reduced individual-tree growth and stand-level aboveground woody productivity in a temperate deciduous forest.

Using long-term forest monitoring data from the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute (SCBI) ForestGEO plot, the research evaluates how structural damage can affect forest carbon accumulation even when trees survive.
